TIMETOACT GROUP’s IAM Journey with Oxford Computer Group
Overview of TIMETOACT GROUP
Headquartered in Cologne, Germany, TIMETOACT GROUP employs approximately 1,100 professionals who modernize and integrate IT applications for mid-sized companies and large corporations. Their goal is to enhance agility, efficiency, and transparency within these organizations. They also design and implement cutting-edge digital business models for innovative clients across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and beyond. The group is comprised of eleven specialized IT service providers, each excelling in their respective fields.
Solution Brief
TIMETOACT GROUP wanted to replace its existing on-premises Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution with a unified, cloud-based HR system. The existing HR solution was inadequate, struggling to create accounts directly in Entra ID and only synchronizing six attributes. It also failed to handle critical processes like onboarding, offboarding, password setting, timely account activation, and name changes.
Migration Challenges
Several challenges were addressed during the migration process:
• Standardizing Processes: Establishing identical onboarding and offboarding procedures across the company was essential, especially as one of the subsidiaries was using a different IAM solution
• Data Administration: Personnel data in the HR system needed to be structured for reliable and automatic processing in the IAM system
• Data Mapping: Unmapped information in the HR tool had to be calculated and correctly integrated into the Entra ID account
• Company Growth: As TIMETOACT GROUP continues to expand, both organically and through acquisitions, the solution had to accommodate increasing numbers of subsidiaries and employees
Key Features of the Oxford Computer Group Solution
The Oxford Computer Group solution is cloud-native, with an intuitive and largely self-explanatory user interface. After internal processes were clarified, the system was operational within three months, efficiently managing basic life cycle events such as onboarding, changes, job transitions, and offboarding.
Future Plans
The next phase involves optimizing processes such as internal transfers, leaves of absence, and the management of external employees. TIMETOACT GROUP’s plans include connecting additional target systems, managing authorizations through business roles, and handling team management. Integrating SAP HANA as another cloud-based target system is also anticipated. We look forward to continuing to help TIMETOACT GROUP improve the security, efficiency, and usability of their IAM.
